Energy audit for a Welsh distillery

Distillery energy audit

Penderyn Distillery is a boutique Welsh whisky of distinction produced in the heart of the Brecons. The distillery is seeking to reduce its carbon footprint further, having already installed a 50kWp PV system.

Leading Energy has worked closely with the plant manager to identify potential savings in the lighting system, process heat losses, drives, fans and compressors. The plant manager also wishes to improve the ventilation system and optimise waste processing from the plant. Leading Energy is supporting project development of solutions in these areas as a follow up to the initial audit.

Penderyn are looking to invest in a LED lighting project to make significant energy savings in the distillery and warehousing facility. Leading Energy has managed the tender process on behalf of the client and helped to define the plant requirements with the plant operation team.
